My dad thinks a Walmart bike is better than a WeThePeople bike?

Me and my dad recently went to my local bike shop to look at the bikes. I saw that all bikes were at least $200 and up, which are reasonable prices for the quality of the bikes. After looking at the bikes at the bike shop, we went to Walmart. I saw 2 bikes that looked quite decent. One was a Mongoose Mode 270 BMX Bike and the other was a Hyper Spinner Bike, which I think some of you know that bike. I really want the bike I saw at my local shop which is a 2012 WeThePeople (I don't know what's the particular name of the bike is). He said that the Walmart bike was better quality and better looking, which was really shocking that he could say that. Plus, I know that WeThePeople bikes are high in quality and are good looking and are expensive, but it was freaking $250! (I know right what a steal) but he said it was too much for a bike. Please help, I really want the WTP bike before it goes back to retail price. Thanks for reading.

Your dad sounds like a smart guy, and you sound like a smart kid. Now it is time for you to prove how smart you are.

Go to the WTP website, the Mongoose website, and the Walmart website. Download the owners manual for each bike, and print out the warranty for each bike and read them. Here is the link for the walmart bikes http://www.mongoose.com/media/uploads/files/Mongoose_2011_English_owners-manual_March2011.pdf and the Hyper is so bad it doesn't even have a warranty that I can find. There is another brand of bike named Hyper but they are NOT the walmart stuff. You will notice that both the bikes from Walmart are for "general transportation only" and if they are used for stunts or jumps or anything else the warranty is void.

The WTP warranty is completely different http://www.wethepeoplebmx.de/warranty and since it comes from a bike shop it will have been assembled by professionals and will come with a lot of free service included in the price.

Now here comes the hard part. Your dad will probably say that the WTP is too much money. You have to calmly explain about the warranty (print a copy out for each bike and give it to him) and also that the WTP is assembled by professionals and comes with free service. Contact the bike shop and ask them the price of a regular tune up and tell him you would be SAVING money by getting the better bike.

If you stay calm and provide information I can bet he will see the WTP will be the better bike and less expensive in the long run.

Good luck!

Sorry dad but your wrong. Walmart's bikes are very bad quality and that's why they are cheap. WeThePeople is a very good brand and you are better off getting this bike even though its more expensive. Plus this is a more popular brand and a Walmart bike might get you made fun of.

Obviously Dad knows little about bikes, or maybe he knows more than we think and doesn't want to spend money on quality. Either way, WalMart bikes are cheap because they are low quality and assembled by mouth-breathing dullards. Refuse to accept a POS from WalMart and save your money until you can buy a good bike.
