Can I use these forks for mountain biking (Light trails, off road)? They are SR Suntour Magnesium with 75mm travel. Can I switch out the fork I have now to put that one in,will it have any performance differances between them and 100mm travel forks?Cheers

Yes you can use them off road. Performance won't be great as the damper unit is probably awful or non existent ( this essentially controls the spring) but it will do the job of taking the sting out so probs ideal for this scenario. If the fork you have on atm are 100mm you should probably try to stay close to that as the bottom bracket (the bit in the frame that connects each crank arm) will lower. This changes the geometry significantly upsetting handling and could bring your pedals too close to the ground which wont be a problem on the road, just might clatter your pedals on some devilish roots. Any frame though will have fork size tolerances, normally found on a manufacturers web site.

So basically light casual cross country performance no issue. Check frame tolerances.

as long as the headset/frame will support them you can. The general rule of thumb is 20mm difference in travel, but I added 40 (120 up from 80) with success. 25mm difference is not going to be effect the geo enough to worry about.

Etiquette says you're supposed to start with the ones on the outside and work your way in.

Seriously, the other two answers are great.
