The best pefromance road bike to me is the 2012 Trek Madone 7.9 SSL. It can really vary though depending on what you want but I like a 2012 Trek Madone 7.9 SSL. I've ridden this bike before and it saved me 12 seconds compared to the 2012 Cannondale SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod.
