Does anyone know what I should search to find a specific type of combination lock?

I'm looking for one of those combination locks that are shaped like a cylinder, but when you put the combination in, they have a pin with grooves on it that comes out and that's when the lock is unlocked. It's commonly found on bike chain locks or cable locks, but I'm looking for ONLY the lock, without the cable or chain attached. I've attached photos of what I'm talking about. Does anyone know what this specific kind of lock is called so I can look to purchase it online?? I know it's probably actually not gonna be very possible to purchase this online since it's impractical for most people to buy this lock without the chain/cable attached but it's practical for what I'm going to use it for, so... I need to know what they're called if they even have a special name. :(

Well, nevermind then. It seems yahoo is being a stupid piece of malarky and won't let me attach any photos for some reason. Yes I checked the size of the photos. Just google image search "bike chain combination lock" and you'll see what kind of lock I mean. Does anyone know the name of the specific kind of lock that is, without the cable/chain attached?

You can get different kinds of padlocks with a cylinder combinations at most locksmith shops. They would probably know how to get one if they don't have it in stock.

I think the easiest path for you is simply to buy one of these:http://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-8147D-Weight-Combination/dp/B000BD692Y - or one of the same design WRT chain attachment and simply drill or press the rivet out to remove the chain.

Reuse the hole with a new rivet to attach the lock to whatever it is that you want.

The cables are crimped on. Easy enough to cut them out, but it leaves less material to attach the lock to something else with.

Using your Google suggestion yields over 250,000 results. Why not just provide a link to the one you mean?

Them make regular padlocks with the combination instead of the key.
