I love to bike race. And i mean real racing, with a whole organization. I like in Florida and i used to go to the bike traning in Lake Mary. but now they aren't so great for training, and by training you are in their races... (I'm 13) Where can I find some good races to compete in around central Florida? I'm willing to do todowntownd orlando, orlando, windermere, tampa, st. petersburg, melbourne, and the keys... and daytona... I'll go anywhere accept northern FL... but maybe atlanta if it's good. I'm 13 and im a female... Where can i find good trainers and bike races???

McG is dead on. My LBS in Michigan hosts clubs for cyclocross, MTB, and road riding. They do group rides all the time. Each group has a team for local, regional, and even national competitions.

While I don't race, I would be welcomed into any of their local competitions and welcomed to train with the groups when the do group rides. They even do indoor spin training in the winter that is open for participation from any enthusiast. You can even borrow one of their cycle-ops trainers and just bring your own bike if you don't have your own trainer.

I am sure if you are near Orlando, Tampa, or some other decent sized town you can find the same.

I would visit the bike shops. If you are riding as much as you indicate, you probably stop in the shops a lot anyway.

Ask your shop about racing, and clubs in your area. Look around in the shop, most have publications and or hand bills from local clubs, including racers.

Fantastic that you are so enthusiastic at 13 -- Ride Hard!
