If you cannot save any more or come up with an extra 100, then they will do. They are a good fork for the price range. However, they have limited adjustment and will likely disappoint if you are looking for a plush ride.
The Dart series Rock Shox are their entry level. If you want a good fork, go with Recon as its air adjustable.

They are a low level fork but will take a beating. Did some work adn took in a scrap bike that had a set. I took them off and put them on a beater and 3 years later they work still pretty well considering they have been through 2 full winters and a lot of spring and fall dirt and salt. Easy to clean and maintain
As for the price, not sure what they are worth, look on ebay for a good idea. you didn't say new or used either!
The below site is a great reference for parts and bikes. I would never trust any one persons answer. I have read bad reviews from 1 person that is because it was a fluke or them and vice versa!
Good riding

Take the extra money and buy the tora 302 or the 318, you will be extremely happy and it will be a better investment due to the fact that the dart series does not have nearly the same quality the other rockshox series' come with. The tora 302 is not much more than the dart 3 anyway.
