I am hoping to wash my new full suspension mountain bike, which has become dirty but I am completely inexperienced in washing bikes.

I have watched a lot of videos on how to clean your bike but I still need some advice.

I have a cleaning product for the frame and I have MO94. I know that I need a lube for the chain but in what order should I wash my bike. I think that M094 is more of a water dispenser than a lube.

I would really appreciate some advice.

I use a hose to wet the bike down with a gentle spray and get the loose dirt off. Do not spray directly at any bearings at the headset, bottom bracket, or wheel hubs. Use a rag and start at the top with a bucket of car wash solution. If the chain stay is dirty I save that for last after the wheels.

Charcoal starter fluid on a rag is great for the chain and sprockets. Never oil a dirty chain and wipe it dry after it sets for a while with a clean dry rag. The real lubrication on a chain is on the inside. Excess oil on a chain only collects dirt and grime and causes excess wear. I clean my chain after every ride with a little charcoal starter fluid on a paper towel. Lean the bike up against something so you can pedal backwards and get the whole thing. Takes less then a min.

I only oil the chain about every 125 miles or so. Use a good wet chain lube.

Use anything you like. Just avoid getting water in crank bearings, wheel bearings & head tube bearings. A lot of people who answer here use charcoal lighter fluid to clean the chain. Wipe it dry & then go back with a light coat of chain oil.

Automatic car wash

People should do this more often with all the complaining about a bird crap on there car

It's like, you can spend $5,000 on a car, but a $1 car wash is a problem for you?
