Question:
What kind of lock do you secure your bike with?

I use something very identical to this as my main lock http://www-1.toolbox.co.uk/silverline-cable-bike-lock-00121833M.jpg then I use a second one very similar but half as thick.

The thing is I ride quite an expensive bike now which young "chav kids" seem to take a big interest in and it really doesn't seem enough as they are easily cut with the right tool.

What do you guys use for security while leaving your bike unnatended?

I was thinking maybe a motorbike chain as I only leave my bike outside shops for 10 -20 mins max and the wheels are secured by axles which would need specific allen keys. The rest of the time it's in my house, in a cupboard, out of site.

You're

I would choose a Krypto New York Ulock, and a Krypto cable lock over 1/2 in diameter OR the Ulock with a pair of Master Lock Street Cuffs.

I will make a video sometime soon but check the link below for another video showing you how.

Basically To Lock your bike you will need:

1x Cable Lock

1X D Lock

Make sure that you lock the frame and both wheels. Try and Lock the frame and rear wheel with the D lock as this is the strongest lock.

Then with the Cable lock, go around the front wheel and around you front suspension fork if you have one.

Hope this helped a little, take a look a the video below (not mine) I will be making a video soon though on how to lock a bike.

Finally you may also want to register your bike online and put an indentifer tag inside of it in case it gets stolen you have a higher chance of getting it back.

Thanks once again for subscribing and hope that you found this information useful.

Good locks, get a good one spend as much as you can afford (get at least a silver secure one, gold is even better)

For last 3 months I have been parking out of work with no lock at all. I even leave the helmet and the headlight on. Today I decided to buy one, just a simple cable one with a lock.

OnGuard or Kryptonite U-Bolt locks with a thick cable or chain are best - period.
