I am starting to commute with a bike everyday, about 5 miles, I want to buy a Cannondale but I am undecided between the Bad Boy and the Road Warrior.

I want to buy and American made bike because I had had bad experiences with cheapos from Wal Mart. I prefer to pay more and get more quality.

Any other American made bikes out there for daily use?

I'm not sure if cannondale still makes the road warrior. They both look like good bikes. The Bad Boy is going to probably be more comfortable and has disc brakes, so if you are biking around in traffic those might come in handy.

American built bikes are not very good based on my experience and friends experience. I used to have a Cannondale and the frame cracked after only 2 years. The best frames are German and Canadian. I now got a Rockymountain Team Element and its absolutely fantastic. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

I like the Road Warrior with the 700c wheels. I would ride them both and see how they feel.
