so i skateboarded for 2 years and could never ollie even though i worked on it all the time. well i guess you could consider it an ollie but it was really bad and sloppy. i just couldn't wrap my mind around how to kickflip and pop shuvit. it was so difficult and i didnt enjoy it. i hated not being attached to the board. months ago i wanted to try BMX but my dad said it was to expensive and i'd probably quit. but that was before christmas and i had like, no money but now i have enough to get an eastern lowdown 2010 and i'd have 35 bucks left. my first question is do you think bmx would be easier for me than skateboarding? 2nd question...is the eastern lowdown a good bike for a beginner? 3rd question...i live in the worst place to do bmx in a couple different ways. boring town, i live on a huge hill and have no neigbors or sidewalks(but i do have room to do flatland, but i want to do street) and where my hill ends a busy road starts. so yeah if u can answer all these questions that'd be awesome..THANKS!

If you've quit skating because you weren't good then the chances are you might do the same with Bmx.

But everyone has to find something they're comfortable with; just because you couldn't get into skating doesnt mean you wont kill it in Bmx.

I reckon you should try it first without forking out all the money. If you have a mate who Bmx's have a go on their bike, see how you like it and if you think you could get good on it.

Also if you do decide to Bmx (personally I reckomend you do) then a few things about what your going to buy.

Avoid GT, Haro, Mongoose...

Get a bike that is FULL CROMO. Hi ten is bad.

Look for a bike with double wall rims.

Seems like you're touchdown for your entrance tire. When coming down, attempt to land for your again tire. Your wrists could even be hurting considering of surprise, and that you're doing jumps which can be too top for you. Start off small and paintings your self up from there. After a at the same time of using you're going to get used to the sensation of the jumps and touchdown. If it is helping, put on gloves.

If you do you should spend the last 35 bucks on a helmet, then if you're not very good you won't die*

* Head injuries suck.
